Start Payment

  1. Select the blue button: Make a Payment
  2. Reason for Payment: Tax Return or Notice
  3. Apply Payment To: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ
  4. Tax Period for Payment: (select the appropriate tax year)
  5. Continue
  6. Continue – confirm you entered the correct information

Verify Identity

  1. Tax Year for Verification: Select previous tax year
  2. Match information EXACTLY as it appears on that year’s tax return
  3. Mark box: “I accept the Privacy Act and Paperwork Reduction act”
  4. Continue

Enter Your Payment Information

  1. Enter Payment Amount: For the tax year you WILL be paying.
  2. Confirm Payment Amount
  3. Select Payment Date: No later than April 15
  4. Enter Bank Routing Number: (this is a standard number for the bank)
  5. Enter Account Number
  6. Select Radio Button for Checking or Savings account
  7. Mark box: “I would like to receive email…”
  8. Enter Email Address
  9. Continue
  10. I Agree

Review & Sign

  1. Look through what you have selected
  2. Enter Electronic Signature
  3. Mark box: “I accept the Debit Authorization Agreement”
  4. Submit
  5. Print Confirmation
  6. You will also receive a payment confirmation email

How To Pay Utah State Taxes Online

Visit the Utah State website to schedule a direct payment. Follow these steps.

 

Start Payment

  1. On the right sidebar under “I Want To” select: Make e-Check Payment
  2. Coupon Verification: No
  3. Add your name and phone number
  4. Next
  5. Select “Click here to add a payment”

Payment Information

  1. Account Type: Individual Income Tac (IIT)
  2. ID Type: Social Security #
  3. ID: enter your Social Security number
  4. Enter your first and last name
  5. Select Checking or Savings under Bank Account Type
  6. Enter Routing Number
  7. Enter Account Number
  8. Confirm Account Number
  9. Payment Type: Return/Period Payment
  10. Filing Frequency: Annual
  11. Filing Period End: Dec 31 (year paying)
  12. Select Payment Date
  13. Enter Payment Amount
  14. Add
  15. Next

Finish

  1. Enter Contact Name and phone number
  2. Submit
  3. Enter Email Address

How To Pay Estimated Tax Payments

Visit the IRS website to schedule your Federal Estimated Tax Payments for the current year.

 

Start Payment

  1. Select the blue button: Make a Payment
  2. Reason for Payment: Estimated Tax
  3. Apply Payment To: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ
  4. Tax Period for Payment: current year (2019)
  5. Continue
  6. Continue – confirm you entered the correct information

Verify Identity

  1. Select Tax Year for Verification: Select previous tax year
  2. Match information EXACTLY as it appears on that year’s tax return
  3. Mark box: “I accept the Privacy Act and Paperwork Reduction act”
  4. Continue

Enter Your Payment Information
